What a delightful discovery in OC! This gem had always been just out of reach during our previous visits, but we finally made it, and boy, are we glad we did. Honestly, we wouldn’t even think of trying anywhere else now!
The Metal Buddha Oolong, with its rich roasted aroma, and the Rising Phoenix, which had a lighter touch compared to Metal Buddha, both left us absolutely impressed – 5 stars without a doubt. And let’s talk about that boba! It was simply excellent – soft and perfectly chewy, not too mushy or brittle. The #2 sugar level was spot-on, striking that perfect balance with the creamy milk.
The freshness of both the aroma and the tea itself was striking, especially for a tea enthusiast like me. They claim to make each drink to order, and let me tell you, it’s not just a claim. It truly tasted like it was freshly brewed – and I’m quite the tea connoisseur, with Jasmine Dragon Pearl and Dong Ding as my personal favorites.

Wow, I have to share my awesome experience here! The service was truly outstanding. From the moment I walked in, the two friendly folks at the front counter made me feel so welcome and helped me choose the perfect drink (I ended up going for the highly recommended Phoenix drink).
Not only were the drinks reasonably priced, but they were lightning fast in getting my order to me (in less than 5 minutes, and there wasn’t even a line!). What really impressed me was when they asked if I had tried the drink before. Since it was my first time, they encouraged me to give it a try right then and there to make sure it was exactly to my liking. Talk about customer service!

I completely get why there’s always a buzz outside this place – their boba is absolutely amazing! The freshness of their tea and boba is what sets them apart. Now, it might seem a bit quirky that they only operate from an outdoor tent, but don’t let that deter you. The staff here are all smiles and super friendly.
A few days later, I couldn’t resist going back for more, and I’m so glad I did. Their Hokkaido metal Buddha tea was an absolute delight. It’s safe to say that this spot has officially claimed the top spot in my heart for boba in Irvine. If you haven’t been here yet, it’s high time you joined the queue and treated your taste buds to something truly special! 😄🍹👌

I just had to check out this place and see what all the buzz was about! I decided to go for the Rising Phoenix milk tea, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they use a lactose-free creamer base – perfect for those of us who prefer milk alternatives.
I opted for a 3/5 sweetness level, which was pretty spot on for me. However, I’m thinking of going for a 2/5 sweetness next time, as I generally prefer my drinks on the less sweet side. But, you know what? The 3/5 was actually a perfect balance for a sweetened milk tea, in my humble opinion.
The milk tea itself was a winner in my book. It had that robust tea flavor that I adore, and it met all my expectations for a top-notch milk tea. I’d easily give it a solid 10/10, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I absolutely adore the Gyokuru Honey Milk Tea! It’s a solid 5/5 in my book. My go-to order is the perfect blend of sweetness with just the right amount of ice, and of course, I can’t resist adding some delightful boba pearls to the mix. This drink is hands down my absolute favorite.
Living in the Inland Empire, I consider myself lucky to have this gem nearby. Whenever I’m headed to the beach or find myself in the area, you can bet I’m making a pitstop here. The service is top-notch; they go the extra mile by letting you taste your drink before you hit the road, just in case any adjustments are needed.
